The Institute of Packaging Professionals is seeking a Packaging Production Designer for an on-site role in Sheboygan, WI. This production-focused position involves working with packaging for major national retailers and handling mechanical files with Adobe Illustrator from day one.
You will ensure regulatory and brand compliance, collaborate with engineering and project teams, and thrive in a fast-paced, file-heavy environment. Contract, full-time, 40 hours/week, 90 days with potential extension.
C2's client, a global consumer goods manufacturer producing private-label products for major retail partners, has been making everyday products people count on since 1976. What started as a 35-person family-owned operation has grown into an organization of more than 2,500, and through every stage of that growth one thing has stayed constant: a commitment to doing the right thing, investing everything back into the business, and treating people as partners worth caring about.
This newly created Packaging Production Designer role reflects both momentum and intention. The position exists to meet current demand and to build the kind of depth that keeps a team strong over time.
This is a technical production role, not a conceptual design position. The right candidate brings precision, a sharp eye for regulatory and brand compliance, and the confidence to work hands-on with mechanical files and client-submitted artwork from day one. Training on client-specific compliance requirements is provided. Excellence here is not a slogan; it is the standard, and individual effort is always in service of the team.

The Production Designer works within an established, highly experienced team producing packaging for major national retailers. The work is file-intensive and compliance-driven, requiring someone who brings accuracy, speed, and genuine comfort with technical production workflows.
The team operates in open pod/cubicle seating (they're friendly and chatty), moves fast, and communicates in shorthand built from years of working together. Many colleagues have 10 to 20+ years of tenure. The right candidate is ready to immerse quickly, ask smart questions, and keep pace from day one.
All candidates must be located and authorized to work in the United States. C2 does not sponsor work visas. No C2C.
