Atrium Staffing LLC is helping a leading consumer goods client find a Freelance Packaging Production Artist. This fully remote 11–12 week gig will lead packaging and display file optimization and oversee Ready for Print (RFP) packaging files to Centric PLM.

The role requires expert Adobe Creative Suite and Centric PLM experience, strong time management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Graphic Design, Packaging, or related field.
• Experience with packaging production and RFP mechanics.
• Proficient in Centric PLM or similar PLM systems.

Client Overview:

Our client is a leading company in the consumer goods industry, known for managing world-class global brands. The organization emphasizes innovation and quality in packaging and display solutions. They foster a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on excellence and growth. They are currently looking to add a Freelance Packaging Production Artist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$30/hr - $35/hr W2

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Freelance Packaging Production Artist to work on an 11 - 12 week, full 40-hour-per-week gig to lead packaging and display file optimization and manage the creation and upload of Ready for Press (RFP) packaging files to Centric PLM. This role offers exposure to renowned global brands and requires strong attention to detail and time management in a deadline-driven environment. This is a fully remote role, and candidates should ideally be within the Eastern Standard Time zone.

Responsibilities of the Freelance Packaging Production Artist:

• Lead packaging and display file optimization, including color profiles.
• Create and execute packaging and display mechanicals ready for press (RFP).
• Manage the build of Centric PLM packaging tech packs, including BOM.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to problem-solve.
• Ensure high-quality work delivery in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain efficient time management and organizational skills.

Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Packaging Production Artist:

• Strong sense of file optimization.
• Experience using Centric PLM or similar platforms.
• Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite skills.
• Expert-level Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong execution, organization, and time management skills.
• Expertise in creating “RFP” (ready for print) mechanicals.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work on a freelance gig - 11 weeks, 40 hours weekly.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Freelance Packaging Production Artist:

• Familiarity with packaging standards and print production processes.
• Experience working with global brand packaging requirements.
• Knowledge of color management and profile adjustments.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging, Art, or a related field is required.
