Twelve Inc. designs and builds award‑worthy merchandise and packaging for luxury brands in Seattle.

The Packaging Designer will collaborate with the Director of Creative Special Projects and the design team to deliver retail-ready packaging, executing designs, mockups, and revisions with close attention to brand and sustainability. You will research trends, develop concepts, create comps and renderings, and help refine packaging with guidance from senior designers while applying brand guidelines

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant design experience in-house or agency.
• Proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop within Creative Cloud.
• Strong typography, imagery, color, and layout skills.
• Experience preparing print-ready files, dielines, templates, and post-production artwork.

Responsibilities

• Create retail-ready packaging designs with layouts, graphics, and refinements.
• Produce mockups, comps, and basic renderings to visualize ideas.
• Research packaging trends, materials, and sustainability to inform concepts.

Position Summary

The Packaging Designer works alongside the Director of Creative Special Projects and design team in creating retail-ready packaging through design execution, mockups, and revisions. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and is ideal for a detail-orienteddesignereager to learn and grow.

• Work with Designers and Development teams in creating retail-ready packaging.
• Design execution across packaging collections, including layouts, graphics, and visual refinements.
• Research packaging trends, materials, and sustainability initiatives to help inform design concepts.
• Create mockups, comps, and basic renderings to help visualize packaging ideas.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh, thoughtful ideas within a collaborative team environment.
• Learn and apply brand guidelines to ensure consistency across seasonal and evergreen packaging collections.
• Helpmaintainorganized working files, ensuring assets, links, and versions are clearly labeled and easy tolocate.
• Develop packaging concepts with consideration for brand tone, market trends, and price points.
• Support exploration of new packaging materials, structures, and production techniques under senior guidance.
• Incorporate feedback from senior designers, developers, and stakeholders, making revisions as needed.
• Leverage AI to improve process efficiency and automation while preserving individual creativity, judgment, and original thinking.

Qualification

• 5-8 years ofrelevant design experienceat an in-house creative team or design agency preferred.
• Highly Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Experience combining typography, Imagery, color and layout to create impactful designs.
• Experience or interest in illustration or 3D rendering software is a plus.
• Experience preparing print-ready files, dielines, templates, tech packs, and post-production artwork.
• Ability to generate and communicate ideas visually through sketches, comps, or simple renderings.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams while also taking ownership of independent projects.
• Strong communicationskills, Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented, humble, and solutions-driven with a positive attitude.

Salary: $80 -$100k depending on experience.
