Job summary

Twelve designs and builds the world’s most inspiring merchandise and packaging for luxury brands, with a focus on sustainability and high-impact visuals. As a Packaging Designer, you will work alongside the Associate Art Director and team to deliver retail-ready packaging through execution, mockups, and revisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn brand guidelines, and contribute ideas that balance creativity with production practicality.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant design experience in-house or agency preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Experience combining typography, imagery, color and layout to create impactful designs.
• Experience preparing print-ready files, dielines, templates, tech packs, and post-production artwork.

Responsibilities

• Create retail-ready packaging for a variety of brands with Designers and Development teams.
• Execute packaging layouts, graphics, and visual refinements across collections.
• Research packaging trends, materials, and sustainability to inform concepts.
• Create mockups, comps, and renderings to visualize ideas.
• Brainstorm and contribute fresh ideas within a collaborative team environment.
• Apply brand guidelines to ensure consistency across seasonal collections.
• Organize working files with clearly labeled assets and versions.
• Develop packaging concepts considering brand tone, market trends, and price points.
• Explore new packaging materials, structures, and production techniques under senior guidance.
• Incorporate feedback from senior designers and stakeholders, iterating as needed.
• Utilize AI to improve process efficiency while preserving creativity.

Position Summary

The Packaging Designer works alongside the Associate Art Director and design team in creating retail-ready packaging through design execution, mockups, and revisions. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and is ideal for a detail-oriented designer eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Designers and Development teams in creating retail-ready packaging for a variety of brands.
• Design execution across packaging collections, including layouts, graphics, and visual refinements.
• Research packaging trends, materials, and sustainability initiatives to help inform design concepts.
• Create mockups, comps, and basic renderings to help visualize packaging ideas.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh, thoughtful ideas within a collaborative team environment.
• Learn and apply brand guidelines (when necessary) to ensure consistency across seasonal and evergreen packaging collections.
• Help maintain organized working files, ensuring assets, links, and versions are clearly labeled and easy to locate.
• Develop packaging concepts with consideration for brand tone, market trends, and price points.
• Support exploration of new packaging materials, structures, and production techniques under senior guidance.
• Incorporate feedback from senior designers, developers, and stakeholders, making revisions as needed.
• Leverage AI to improve process efficiency and automation while preserving individual creativity, judgment, and original thinking.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant design experience at an in-house creative team or design agency preferred.
• Highly Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Experience combining typography, Imagery, color and layout to create impactful designs.
• Experience or interest in illustration or 3D rendering software is a plus.
• Experience preparing print-ready files, dielines, templates, tech packs, and post-production artwork.
• Ability to generate and communicate ideas visually through sketches, comps, or simple renderings.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams while also taking ownership of independent projects.
• Strong communication skills, Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented, humble, and solutions-driven with a positive attitude.

Salary: $75 -$85k depending on experience.
