Job summary

Panelmatic is seeking a detailed-oriented Packaging & Crating Technician in Youngstown, OH. You will oversee the receiving of packages, store items in proper areas, and prepare items for shipping in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 2 years forklift experience, can read a tape measure, use hand and power tools, lift 50+ lbs, and follow safety procedures. DOT medical card may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years forklift experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use hand/power tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and driving record check.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Valid driver's license (DOT medical card required or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and prepare finished panels and components for shipment.
• Build crates, skids, and packaging to protect equipment during transport.
• Measure, cut, and install materials such as duct covers and gasket materials.
• Read blueprints and follow packaging specifications.
• Photograph and document finished products prior to shipment.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts and other equipment.
• Operate tools including panel saws, nailers, staplers, and hand tools.
• Maintain inventory of packaging and shipping supplies.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
• Drive company box truck (26 ft) for deliveries when required (DOT card).
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
