Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will receive freight, operate a forklift, manage inventory, and prepare items for shipping while documenting transactions in the ERP system.

You must lift up to 100 pounds, work in varied weather, and maintain accuracy with packing lists and data entry. Prior forklift experience and MS Office proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-plus years of experience in carpentry or construction industry or roles preferred.
• Two-plus years of experience operating a forklift required.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite required.
• High levels of organizational and time management skills required.
• High levels of analytical, observational, and active listening skills required.

Responsibilities

• Receives various amounts and types of freight including steel and housing kits from flatbed trailers.
• Must be proficient on a forklift with experience loading/unloading steel, aluminum and heavy machinery, along with items that are long and tall.
• Unload trailers from the dock and outside.
• Must be able to tolerate all types of weather and temperatures.
• Must be able to lift and carry/maneuver 50 to 100 pounds repeatedly, on occasion.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with company safety guidelines.
• Need good inventory skills such as counting, attention to detail, material placement and problem solving.
• Need MS Office and general computer skills. Experience with Excel and/or Syteline is a bonus
• High level of organization and time management skills required.
• Receive incoming packages and freight into ERP system, matching packing lists with system and internal data base
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned by management
