Job summary

Conagra Brands in Kent, Washington is hiring Packaging Associates for the 1st shift (5:30 AM–2:00 PM). This on-site role reports to the shift supervisor and supports a large team in a busy manufacturing facility.

You will rotate through Production Specialist duties, monitor conveyors, perform quality checks, and ensure compliance with SQF and GMP standards. The position offers a starting wage of $23 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must understand safety/Food safety (SQF)/GMP standards.
• Able to work overtime.
• Basic knowledge of plant cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and PPE requirements.
• Trained and knowledgeable of ladder safety and equipment cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through all positions of Production Specialist on the line.
• Count products and stack in boxes; monitor conveyor flow and quality.
• Perform quality checks and pass through metal detector at CCP stage.
• Push boxes through the taping machine and ensure proper packaging quality.

We are hiring for Packaging Associates on our 1st shift. You will work onsite at our manufacturing facility in Kent WA. You will report to the shift supervisor and join a team of 235 plus team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

You will rotate to all positions of Production Specialist. Count products being stacked in layers in boxes, stack products on conveyor line while monitoring the product flow and quality, remove product from conveyor line and stack in assembled box. Monitor the conveyor line from the freezer down the slide while performing quality checks on products then through the metal detector for the metal detection Step (includes observations or measurements) to assess whether the critical control point (CCP) is being met for HarpC. Push boxes loaded with products through taping machine. Must understand safety/Food safety (SQF)/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. Must be able to work overtime. You will be trained, so you have, basic knowledge of plant specific cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, and PPE requirements You will be trained and validated to clean and sanitize equipment and surroundings specific to their focus area (For example, cooks - cookers, depositors, conveyors, floors, walls) Trained and knowledgeable of ladder safety, water and drain management. Must follow plant work standards, high quality and productivity standards per plant requirements. Must maintain and regular attendance per company policy. Meet internal and external customer expectations through teamwork, respect and willingness to help and support others. To improve performance and work process through feedback, risk taking, and generating new ideas. You will communicate food safety concerns to supervisor/management. Accept accountability and responsibility for one's work. Confront issues when they arise.
