Tacoma Screw Products is seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our Packaging facility in a fast-paced, engaged environment. You should be proactive, organized, and take pride in accuracy, working both independently and with teammates to keep operations running smoothly.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to operate a packaging machine from start to finish, with opportunities for a discretionary year-end bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Attention to detail in handling stock and fulfilling orders.
  • Communication, written and numerical abilities.
  • Team player able to work independently and with others in a fast-paced setting.
  • Warehouse and forklift experience is desirable but not required.
  • Organizational skills to meet production standards.
  • Computer literacy with basic troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

  • Operate an automated fastener packaging machine from start to finish.
  • Load fasteners, operate touchscreen, verify weights, label and pack finished boxes.
  • Balance independent work with teamwork in a fast-paced packaging facility.
  • Maintain accuracy and ensure production standards are met.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week, in-person.
  • Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
  • Pay Range: $20.00 - 26.00 per hour
  • Annual Bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator whoexcels in a fast-paced, engaged environment. Ourideal candidate is proactive, organized, and takes pride in ensuringtheir work is accurate. This role requires a strong teamplayer with the ability to work both independentlyand collaboratively to keep our Packaging facilityrunning smoothly.

A Day in the Life:

As a Packaging & Machine Operator you will be responsible foroperating an automated fastener packaging machine from start tofinish. This includes, loading fasteners into the machine, operatingthe machine via touchscreen, confirming weight of packages, labeling,and packing finished boxes into a master carton. Employees in thisrole must balance their ability to work independently and within ateam environment.

Experience and Skills:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required .
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling stock and fulfilling orders.
  • Communication & Math Skills: Solid verbal, written, andnumerical abilities.
  • Team Player: Ability to work both independently andcollaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience: Warehouse and forklift experience is desired but not required.
  • Organization: Meet and exceed minimum efficiency levels andproduction standards.
  • Technology: Computer literacy, with the ability to troubleshootmachine failures.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires;

  • Lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds
  • Performing repetitive movements throughout the shift including butnot limited to, bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Work in an environment that requires maintaining a consistent andoften fast paced.
  • Performing work within an environment exposed to consistent noiselevels from machinery - ear protection is provided and required whenoperating or working closely with the packaging machines.
