Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Packager in our Shipping Department. The role focuses on moving glass and metal products from tables, racks, and crates to the shipping area, with attention to safety, quality, and efficiency. Flexibility to work weekends is required.

Candidates with a year of warehouse or manufacturing experience and a safety-first mindset will thrive in this role as we build reliable, high-quality shipments.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including weekends.
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
• An uncompromising safety-first approach in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Transport of materials such as glass and metal products from tables and crates to the shipping area.
• Quality inspection, operation of equipment, and manual handling as required.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis in the Shipping Department.
• Inspect products for abnormalities and notify supervisor of issues.
• Use a tape measure to ensure products meet specifications.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Packager is focused on moving glass and/or metal products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Senior Loader.
This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Shipping Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Transport of materials including glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.
