Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is hiring a Shipping Loader/Unloader for day shifts to prepare products for delivery. You’ll assemble boxes or crates, label containers, and ensure items are packed securely and accurately. The role requires weighing, measuring, and counting products, plus basic clerical work with RF devices and the shop floor computer.

The position emphasizes reliability, initiative, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic physical labor tasks including packing, labeling and measuring items.
• Ability to operate RF devices and shop floor computer for inventory and shipping records.
• Attention to quality, accuracy, and adherence to packing specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes or crates for shipment.
• Label and protect containers; insert padding as needed.
• Weigh, measure, and count products for shipping.
• Pack items per shipping requirements and supervisor specs.
• Perform clerical tasks using shop floor computer and RF equipment.
• Inspect products to ensure conformance with quality standards.

The Shipping Loader/Unloader - Days is focused on preparing our products for delivery and reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attendance and some mechanical skills.

What We Are Looking For:

• Assembling boxes, crates, or containers
• Labeling and marking containers and insert lining or padding material to protect items during shipment
• Weighing, measuring and counting product
• Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications, ensuring that the crates/boxes and packages are accurately packed
• Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment
• Conducting inspections to examine products and make sure they meet our specifications for quality and aren't damage
