Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a day shift, full-time Pacemaker Technician to perform interrogations of pacemakers and implantable defibrillators, monitor patient data, write reports, and support cardiology procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of software, anatomy and physiology, radiation safety, plus pacemaker programming. ACLS and BLS are required, with national certification and other credentials expected within the first year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pacemaker programming experience and familiarity with device interrogations.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or obtained per timelines.
• National certification in the field is required.
• CCSD, IBHRE, and CRAT credentials expected within the first year.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety procedures.
• Ability to use software applications relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate pacemakers and implantable defibrillators as part of daily duties.
• Monitor, document, and report patient and device data; manage remote interrogations.
• Identify critical device or patient issues and escalate to providers.
• Assist cardiologists with cardiac procedures and exams.
• Maintain and monitor systems, equipment, and supplies for the department.
• Adhere to policies and regulations to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• The technologist will perform interrogations of pacemakers and implantable defibrillator's.
• Monitor, write reports, and manage remote patient interrogations.
• Identify critical device and/or patient issues and bring them to the attention of the provider, and maintain the device database.
• Assists cardiologists with cardiac procedures and exams.
• Maintains and monitors systems, equipment, and supplies for the assigned department.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of a variety of software applications programs.
• Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures.
• Pacemaker programming experience
• ACLS

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• National Certification.
• CCSD, IBHRE, and CRAT certifications are required within the first year.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in CVT program from an accredited institution.
