Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pacemaker/ICD Technician to identify and interpret findings from basic device interrogations and communicate results to physicians. The role involves reviewing data from implanted devices, generating reports, and assisting with driver adjustments under physician supervision.

The position requires strong English communication, patient-facing service, and knowledge of cardiac device therapy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Biology or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years related work experience in cardiac monitoring and analysis.
• Understanding of electric conduction system and implantable device therapy.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Identifies normal and abnormal findings during basic device interrogation.
• Interrogates pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization devices.
• Reviews and analyzes data from implanted devices using programmers.
• Creates summaries and reports of findings and test results.
• Reports abnormal findings to the appropriate provider.
• Under physician/NP/PA direction, makes changes as needed.
• Applies/removes programmer electrodes on patients.
• Answers questions from patients and families about equipment and procedures.
• Performs office Pacemaker/ICD interrogations.
