Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist PACE Clinical Pharmacists across locations, enabling safe, effective medication therapy for participants. You will engage in medication management activities and patient follow-up to support clinical pharmacists.

The role requires CA-BOP certification and at least 1 year of experience, with preference for bilingual EN/ES and senior-population exposure. BLS certification or higher is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification through the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with senior populations, preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist PACE Clinical Pharmacists at assigned locations to support the delivery of safe, effective medication therapy.
• Direct patient contact to facilitate clinical pharmacy appointments, medication reconciliations, pill box refills, patient follow-up, and clerical duties.
• Support the efficiency of the PACE clinical pharmacists.
