Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support PACE Clinical Pharmacists at assigned locations, helping deliver safe, effective medication therapy for program participants.

You will participate in medication management activities, patient follow-ups, pill box refills, and related clerical duties. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, CA Pharmacy Technician Certification, and at least 1 year of experience, with bilingual English/Spanish and a valid

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification through the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with senior populations, preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher required per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist PACE Clinical Pharmacists to support medication therapy delivery.
• Direct patient contact to facilitate clinical pharmacy appointments.
• Perform medication reconciliations and pill box refills.
• Conduct patient follow-ups and support clerical duties.

Job Overview

The pharmacy Technician will assist PACE Clinical Pharmacists at assigned PACE locations to support the delivery of safe, effective medication therapy to PACE program participants. The Pharmacy Technician will directly support the Medication Management Therapy interactions that the PACE Clinical Pharmacists carry out. The Pharmacy Technician will have direct patient contact to facilitate clinical pharmacy appointments, medication reconciliations, pill box refills, patient follow-up, and clerical duties to support the efficiency of the PACE clinical pharmacists.

Minimum Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification through the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with senior populations, preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$25.00 - $29.32 hourly
