Job summary

Cherry Blossom PACE in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Direct Care Aide to provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to program participants. Care is delivered under supervision of licensed nursing staff and aligned with state regulations.

Requirements include Virginia Nurse Aide certification or approved Home Health Aide training, current CPR, valid driver's license, high school diploma, and at least one year of experience with older adults.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Nurse Aide by the Virginia Board of Nursing and listed in active status on the Virginia Nurse Aide Registry, OR
• Must have successfully completed a Virginia Board of Nursing-approved Personal Care Aide or Home Health Aide training program and meet the competency evaluation requirements.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience working with older adults or individuals with functional impairments, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and in compliance with Virginia regulations.
• Deliver care in the Cherry Blossom PACE program setting, fostering dignity and independence.
