Job summary

Cherry Blossom PACE in Virginia seeks a Direct Care Aide to provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to participants in the program.

You will work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, following the plan of care and complying with Virginia health regulations. Required CNA/CPR credentials, driver’s license, and HS diploma; one year of elder care preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Nurse Aide by the Virginia Board of Nursing and listed in active status on the Virginia Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must have completed a Virginia Board of Nursing-approved Personal Care Aide or Home Health Aide training program and meet competency requirements.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience working with older adults or individuals with functional impairments, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Work under supervision of licensed nursing staff and follow the individualized plan of care, in compliance with VA regulations.
