Job summary

Prometheus Group in the United States is seeking 7 PACE Consultants to work embedded inside customer maintenance teams, driving standardization, data cleanup, and hands-on adoption of Prometheus solutions. You will partner with planners, reliability engineers, and data teams to roll out AI capabilities, tune tools, deliver training, and ensure long-term operational value.

This is an onsite role requiring strong presentation and relationship skills and a track record of improving maintenance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on plant or site experience in maintenance or reliability.
• Experience in maintenance and reliability operations: planning, scheduling, reliability, and CMMS or EAM.
• Knowledge of SAP PM, Oracle eAM, IBM Maximo, or similar CMMS/EAM platform.
• Familiarity with AI tools and applying them in an operational context.
• Onsite by design; time at customer site required.
• Strong presentation and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Embed inside the customer's maintenance organization and work with planners, schedulers, reliability engineers, and data teams.
• Drive adoption of Prometheus solutions including AI capabilities from rollout through daily use.
• Tune and configure Prometheus tools to fit the customer's processes and environment.
• Lead process standardization across planning, scheduling, and reliability workflows.
• Run master data cleanup and improve data quality in the customer's EAM and SAP environment.
• Build and maintain the reporting and dashboards the customer's leadership relies on.
• Deliver hands-on training and coaching to end users and super users.
• Drive schedule discipline and hold the operation to sound maintenance practice.
• Lead change management as new workflows and strategies roll out across sites.
• Surface additional opportunities where Prometheus can add value, and hand them cleanly to the account team.

Position Summary

PACE is Prometheus Group's premium embedded consulting practice. A PACE consultant is a seasoned maintenance and reliability expert who works inside a customer's maintenance organization, not from the outside. You embed with the customer's planners, schedulers, and reliability teams, and you drive the functional work that moves the operation: process standardization, training, master data cleanup, schedule discipline, reporting and dashboards, and day-to-day adoption of Prometheus solutions.

You come in on the customer's AI adoption. Prometheus AI is the fastest way to show early value, and you own getting it used well: rolling it out, tuning it to the customer's environment, and coaching users until it is part of how they work. From there you broaden into the wider maintenance organization, where the durable value sits.

This is a functional advisory and delivery role, not a software development role. You will configure, advise, train, clean data, drive adoption, and tune our tools to fit the customer. You will not be writing code or building custom software. The premium customers pay is for an expert who lives inside their operation and makes it run better, year after year.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of Prometheus solutions, including our AI capabilities, from rollout through daily use.
• Tune and configure Prometheus tools, including AI prompts, to fit the customer's processes and environment.
• Lead process standardization across planning, scheduling, and reliability workflows.
• Run master data cleanup and improve data quality in the customer's EAM and SAP environment.
• Build and maintain the reporting and dashboards the customer's leadership relies on.
• Deliver hands-on training and coaching to end users and super users.
• Drive schedule discipline and hold the operation to sound maintenance practice.
• Lead change management as new workflows and strategies roll out across sites.
• Surface additional opportunities where Prometheus can add value, and hand them cleanly to the account team.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on plant or site experience in a maintenance or reliability role.
• Deep, hands-on experience in maintenance and reliability operations: planning, scheduling, reliability, and CMMS or EAM work.
• Detailed knowledge of SAP PM, Oracle eAM, IBM Maximo, or a comparable EAM or CMMS platform.
• Working knowledge of AI tools (Claude, OpenAI, Grok, Gemini, etc.) and experience applying them in an operational context.
• High motor. You drive work forward inside someone else's organization without waiting to be asked, and you push through the friction that stops others. This is the single most important trait for the role.
• Onsite by design. This is an embedded role, so you will spend the large majority of your time at the customer's site. The value comes from being in the operation with their teams, not advising from a distance.
• Strong presentation, training, and relationship skills at every level, from the shop floor to plant leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in asset-heavy industries: oil and gas, chemicals, energy, utilities, mining, or manufacturing.
• Maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability certificates, or equivalent time in the role.
• Experience driving adoption of new digital or AI tools in an operations setting.
• A track record of process improvement or change management inside a maintenance organization.
• Experience building training materials, standard work, or user documentation.

What Success Looks Like

A PACE consultant is the person the customer decides they cannot run without. You drive the functional work their own people and their outside consultants will not drive, and you make it stick. Success is measured in adoption, schedule discipline, data quality, and standardized process—not hours logged. The best PACE consultants pair deep functional expertise with a bias for action, and the customer keeps them engaged year after year because the operation runs better with them in it.
