Suncoast PACE, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a Care Team Assistant to join the team.

Under the direct supervision of the Center Manager or another member of PACE leadership, provides administrative support to the PACE Center, which includes the clinic and/or day center.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Handles various administrative duties to ensure accurate record-keeping, compliance with participant capacity for the day center, adequate member flow through the clinic, and support for related marketing activities.
  • Manages the PACE Center reception desk and clinic reception desk.
  • Supports administrative, clinical, and day center staff with clerical duties such as faxing, scheduling, and ordering supplies.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; 7+ years of administrative, writing, or office experience. PACE knowledge and experience are a plus.
  • Experience: At least two (2) years in a medical setting (hospital, clinic, medical office, nursing home, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience working with the elderly and/or chronically ill, managing patient schedules, and handling a busy front desk or office environment.
  • Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations prior to direct participant contact.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of Suncoast PACE Policies & Procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); working knowledge of PowerPoint and Access.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets, letters, and tables independently.
  • Experience with scheduling software and managing schedules using Excel.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare billing or claims processes.
  • Experience with data entry and database management using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems or equivalent.
