Job summary

Midland Care Connection is seeking an Outside Clinic Appointment Scheduler to coordinate and manage patient appointments for the PACE program. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to schedule medical visits, therapy sessions, transportation, and follow-ups, ensuring timely and organized services for elderly participants.

The role requires 1–2 years in medical scheduling or healthcare administration, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EHR systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare scheduling procedures.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality awareness.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient appointments for the PACE program.
• Schedule medical visits, therapy sessions, transportation, and follow-up care.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to confirm appointments and handle changes.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records, verify patient information, and support efficient clinic operations.
