Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. in Charleston, SC seeks a Compute Warfare Software (SW) Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership for DoD-scale PaaS architectures, guiding engineering teams, evaluating new technologies, and aligning solutions with Navy/DoD requirements.

You will oversee lab testing, CI/CD, security practices, and integration of ICAM/RBAC/IAM/AD, working within a fast-paced DevSecOps environment to deliver secure, scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and modern PaaS platforms (OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu).
• Experience evaluating software architectures, vendor solutions, and developer deliverables.
• Strong understanding of IT enterprise services and DevSecOps deployment methodologies.
• Solid foundation in Linux/Windows OS, networking, cloud-native design, and microservices.
• Understanding ICAM, RBAC, IAM, and Active Directory integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to software developers and vendors implementing modern PaaS solutions.
• Lead lab-based evaluations of new PaaS and container tech (Kubernetes/OpenShift/Rancher/Tanzu).
• Coordinate lab testing, integration activities, and technical assessments across engineering groups.
• Review architectures and vendor proposals against Navy/DoD requirements.
• Deliver strategic technical recommendations to the Compute Warfare Lead Engineer.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and secure software delivery.
• Guide architecture across Linux/Windows, networking, and cloud-native design.
