Job summary

Atlas Tech is seeking a Compute Warfare Software Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership for modern PaaS architectures supporting Navy/DoD networks. You will guide engineering teams, evaluate cutting-edge technologies, and ensure security/compliance in fast-paced environments.

This role requires DoD clearance, deep Kubernetes and PaaS expertise, and hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices across Linux/Windows, ICAM, RBAC/IAM, and AD integrations.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
• Deep Kubernetes and modern PaaS expertise (OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu).
• Experience evaluating software architectures, vendor solutions, and deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of IT enterprise services (email, chat, monitoring, backups, file services).
• Experience overseeing automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps deployment methodologies.
• Solid foundation in Linux/Windows OS, networking, cloud-native design, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to software developers and vendors.
• Lead lab-based evaluations of PaaS and container tech (Kubernetes/OpenShift/Rancher/Tanzu).
• Coordinate lab testing, integration, and technical assessments across teams.
• Review architectures and vendor proposals against Navy/DoD requirements.
• Deliver strategic technical recommendations to the Compute Warfare Lead Engineer.
• Ensure PaaS and Kubernetes-based architectures meet tactical and security requirements.
• Oversee automation strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
• Guide architecture across OS, networking, and cloud-native design principles.
• Support ICAM/RBAC/IAM and Active Directory integration.
