Job summary

Delaware Valley Management is seeking an experienced Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Billing Specialist to manage billing and accounts receivable for PA WC claims. Must live in NJ, PA, or FL.

This role emphasizes PA WC billing, denials, and follow-up with carriers and TPAs, with emphasis on accurate remittance review and documentation. The position is full-time in a high-volume environment with in-office, remote, or hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Must live in NJ, PA, or FL.
• PA Workers’ Compensation billing/A/R experience preferred.
• Experience with PA WC billing process and fee schedule.
• Experience communicating with carriers, TPAs, and adjusters.
• Proficient in CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 terminology.
• Experience using EHR/practice management systems and electronic billing platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing and accounts receivable for Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation claims.
• Follow-up on outstanding, unpaid, and underpaid WC claims.
• Communicate with carriers, TPAs, adjusters, and other claim reps.
• Review payments and remittance for accuracy and identify inappropriate reductions, denials, and underpayments.
• Research and resolve denied or rejected bills, including issues related to claim information, authorization, compensability, documentation, coding, and billing requirements.
• Prepare and submit reconsiderations, appeals, corrected bills, and supporting documentation.
• Identify discrepancies between billed charges, expected reimbursement, and actual payments.
• Maintain accurate and detailed account notes documenting all collection activity and follow-up.
• Work Workers’ Compensation aging reports and prioritize accounts requiring action.
• Obtain and verify necessary claim information including carrier/TPA and adjuster information.
• Identify recurring denial and payment trends and elevate systemic issues to management.
• Collaborate with coding, authorization, clinical, and front-end teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain consistent account follow-up and meet productivity and A/R benchmarks.
