Job summary

Bryant University in Providence, RI is seeking a Clinical Instructional Faculty member for the Physician Assistant program. The role involves teaching in didactic and/or clinical settings, student mentorship, and maintaining clinical competence through ongoing practice and CME.

It is a 12-month full-time appointment with collaboration across program leadership and faculty to ensure ARC-PA compliant education.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of employment.
• Current certification by the NCCPA.
• Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice as a PA.
• Minimum of two (2) years in clinical education, precepting, or teaching.
• Strong knowledge of ARC-PA accreditation standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience with clinical site development and preceptor coordination.
• Ability to travel to clinical sites for visits and evaluations.
• Proficiency with technology and clinical education management systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach within the didactic and/or clinical curriculum as core instruction.
• Develop, revise, and publish course syllabi compliant with ARC-PA standards.
• Deliver lectures, case-based learning, and other instructional activities.
• Facilitate small group discussions and simulations.
• Develop assessment materials and grade promptly.
• Provide feedback and remediation per policies.
• Maintain office hours for student support.
• Participate in accreditation activities and site visits.
