Job summary

Logan University invites applications for adjunct faculty in the PA program, reporting to the Program Director. Responsibilities focus on delivering the curriculum, supporting student development, and contributing to program outcomes and competencies.

Ideal candidates will have a terminal health profession degree, PA experience, and strong teaching and collaboration skills to engage in committee work and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current certification and/or state licensure as required in health/medical profession (ARC-PA 6th Ed A2.01.a)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in complex interdisciplinary and interprofessional settings
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PA or relevant health care provider is required; 3 years is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• TEACHING: Serve as lecturer and/or small group facilitator
• Serve as course director for assigned course(s) as determined by the PD
• Instruct and evaluate student performance for didactic and clinical PA students as needed
• Participate in grading of physical assessment, skills, competencies as needed
• SCHOLARSHIP: Engage in scholarly work individually or with PA team members
• SERVICE: Participate in PA program committees (Admissions, Student Progress, Curriculum)
• ADMINISTRATION: Provide remedial instruction and assist in retention of PA students
• Implement the curriculum and ensure learning objectives are met
• Support ARC-PA accreditation activities
• Follow program policies and attend to quality improvement
