WakeMed is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive medical care under supervision. This role may include inpatient and outpatient duties, daily rounds, notes, discharge summaries, and prescribing medications.

The PA/NP will collaborate with physicians and the APP Manager, educate students, and ensure practice aligns with NC Medical Board and Nursing Board policies, with additional certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current licensure.
• DEA license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as PA or NP preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide competent medical care to patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Perform daily rounds, notes, discharge summaries, and pre/post procedure care.
• Prescribe medications and manage patient care across services.
• Educate PA/NP/CNM students in healthcare education programs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
