Job summary

Beacon Health System seeks a Physician Assistant to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care under physician supervision. You will obtain histories, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic procedures, and document management of health conditions.

You will counsel patients and families in prevention, treatment options, and community resources, and perform preventive health assessments, screenings and immunizations as part of routine care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• PA with Prescriptive Authority (NCCPA) before hire date.
• PA with Prescriptive Authority (Michigan) before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment.
• Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures and documents management of conditions.
• Provides counseling and education to patients and families on prevention and treatment options.
• Performs preventive health assessments, screenings and immunizations.
