Qualifications

• Graduation from an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Current NY State Physician Assistant license or eligibility.
• Current clinical knowledge relevant to the assigned laboratory content.
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to graduate-level students.
• Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructional plans.

Responsibilities

• Attend and provide instruction during assigned laboratory sessions.
• Review applicable laboratory objectives and guidance before each session.
• Prepare to teach and demonstrate skills assigned by the course coordinator.
• Provide small-group and individual instruction to Physician Assistant students.
• Demonstrate clinical, diagnostic, and procedural skills using current professional standards.
• Observe students and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Reinforce confidentiality, FERPA compliance, and professional conduct in the lab.
• Assist with skills practice, check-offs, and simulations as directed by the course coordinator.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and ensure lab safety procedures are followed.

Education
