Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to join the perioperative care team. The role requires strong clinical skills, collaboration with surgeons, and the ability to manage patient care before, during, and after surgery.

The position is full-time, day shift, on-site, with responsibilities that include patient assessment, treatment planning, and adherence to licensure guidelines. Minimum 2 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
• 2 years experience as a physician assistant preferred.
• PA license required.
• Certified Physician Assistant required.

Responsibilities

• Under direct guidance of the primary operative surgeon, assists in perioperative care and in surgery.
• Treats and evaluates patients; administers patient care in a clinical specialty under the physician's direction.
• Follows scope of practice and licensure guidelines in collaboration with the licensed physician.

Under direct guidance and / or supervision of the primary operative surgeon, assists in the perioperative care of patients, in surgery, and performs duties as assigned. Treats and evaluates patients; administers patient care in a particular clinical specialty area, under the direction of the licensed physician. Knowledgeable about patient care diagnosis and treatment, current methods and techniques of practice. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities in accordance with scope of practice and licensure guidelines and in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Required
Other Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Required
Experience
2 years experience as a physician assistant Preferred
Licenses
