Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Lead Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for the OBGYN service within the Temple Faculty Practice. The role combines clinical care with administrative leadership, overseeing operations and ensuring adherence to best practices in a busy OB/GYN clinic.

The successful candidate will train new PAs/NPs and report to the Director of APPs, with responsibilities subject to Medical Staff Board approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare related field required.
• Master's degree from an Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and science in nursing required.
• Doctorate degree DNP preferred or combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead APP will oversee clinical operations and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Plan and train new PAs/NPs and provide clinical leadership.
• Oversee administrative duties and reporting to the Director of APPs.
• Role subject to approval by the Medical Staff Board and supervision by staff physicians.

Education

The Lead Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) is an integral member of the healthcare team, qualified through academic and clinical education to provide patient care services under the supervision of staff physicians. This role encompasses both clinical and administrative responsibilities within the clinic. The Lead APP will oversee clinical operations, ensure adherence to best practices, and manage administrative duties. Additionally, the Lead APP will play a pivotal role in the planning and training of new PAs/NPs. All responsibilities are subject to approval by the Medical Staff Board. Reporting to the Director of APPs, the Lead APP is accountable to the supervising physician and the department.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Healthcare related field Required
• Master's Degree Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and Science in Nursing Required
• Doctorate Degree DNP Preferred or
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

Experience

• 2 years experience in a clinical specialty as a CRNP or PA Required
• General Experience with Epic Required
• 2 years experience in healthcare leadership Preferred

Licenses

• PA Medical Physician Asst Lic Required or
• PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner Required
• Basic Life Support Required
