Assist in various shop areas including gasket, hose, mechanical seal, cylinder repair, and conveyor belting departments. Use tools to measure, manipulate, cut gaskets, fabricate hoses, and related products. Assist with general shop duties under close supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Participate in inventory counts, maintain stock, and organize items. Keep equipment and shop areas clean.
2. Engage in lean activities and adhere to safety regulations.
3. Contribute suggestions for continuous improvement in lean, quality, and safety.
4. Operate equipment such as gasket presses, circle cutters, Allpax cutters, shears, and punch presses with dies.
5. Assist in hose area tasks like banding, crimping, rolling, cutting, and testing hoses. Support hydro and hydraulic hose departments.
6. Assist in mechanical seal department: disassembly, cleaning, bead blasting, packing, and shipping of seals and components.
7. Support shipping tasks: packing, receiving, and crate building.
8. Operate forklift upon certification.
9. Use tape measure regularly and accurately.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of industrial shop experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to use a tape measure and perform basic math operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Salary: $18 - $20 per hour
