Altea Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) for a weekend, part-time role serving two facilities in Freeport and Lena, Illinois. You will diagnose, treat, and guide patients in post-acute care within a skilled nursing setting.

The position offers highly competitive pay between $460 and $625 per day, with uncapped performance bonuses, and flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. Training and mentorship are provided to both new grads and experienced providers.

Qualifications

• PA-C with active license in good standing.
• Willingness to travel between two facilities on weekends.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging).
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.
