Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Scheduler (P6) to join our Project Controls Team in Baton Rouge, LA, with project sites in Garyville, LA and surrounding areas. The role requires Primavera P6 scheduling experience across maintenance, turnarounds, and capital projects.

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in construction management or related field, plus 2 years of jobsite craft experience, strong MS Office skills, and a proven ability to work both independently and in teams while maintaining

Qualifications

• Two years of experience using Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software on industrial maintenance, construction projects, outages or turnarounds.
• Two years of jobsite mechanical craft experience or a BS degree in construction management or related curriculum.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred experience with Turner applications WinTake, QuickPlan and Win PCS.
• Knowledge of project controls cycles and CPM reporting.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental excellence.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Must pass a Scheduler Skills Assessment Test and have/qualify for a TWIC card.
• Skilled in Primavera P6, Excel and Google.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated, resource-loaded schedule using Finish-to-Start relationships and a WBS with milestones.
• Apply CPM to monitor progress and schedule deliverables; generate histograms and management reports.
• Collaborate with client for naming conventions, WBS, formats and activity codes.
• Coordinate with planners to determine optimal maintenance to turnover path; document assumptions and estimates.
• Embed AWP processes into the schedule and monitor EWP, PWP, and IWP performance as needed.
• Obtain buy-in from field and discipline leads before issuing to the site; track baseline progress and recovery actions.
