Job summary

Kelloggsville Public Schools is seeking a part-time food service worker to support school meals. This position is 28.75 hours per week, Monday–Friday, following the student calendar, with daily hours to be determined.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to learn food preparation, dependability, strong food safety practices, the ability to lift 45 lbs, and the capacity to work with a diverse school community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn food preparation and follow procedures for efficient production and service.
  • Must be dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to provide an environment conducive to protecting students' health through high levels of food safety.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural community.
  • Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about others.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural community.
  • Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others.
  • Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons.

Qualifications/Training/Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn food preparation and follow operational procedures for efficient and effective food production and service.
  • Must be dependable, good attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to provide an environment conducive in protecting the health and well-being of the school's children through high levels of food safety.
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 45lbs.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community.
  • Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community.
  • Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others.
