This position involves general food service work focused on the preparation, presentation, and serving of food in a school setting. The Kitchen Associate maintains high sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities. Additionally, the role may include cashiering duties and requires ensuring a friendly, efficient service experience for students and staff.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms. Manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach. Regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, very good depth perception, and the ability to communicate effectively through speech. The position requires a significant amount of physical activity
Indoor Kitchen environment with exposure to heat from ovens. Potential exposure to cleaning chemicals, fumes, and sharp objects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly meets deadlines amidst a fast-paced environment with severe time constraints.
This position is Non-Union: salary, terms, and other conditions of employment established by the Board of Education.
This is a Non-Exempt FLSA position. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
