USTA National Campus is seeking an on-site Events Assistant to support daily tournament operations, facility and administrative tasks at our Orlando campus. You will act as the on-site events team contact, coordinate with tournament organizers, players, and staff, and assist with meetings, site inspections, and event setups.

The role requires digital literacy with Google Suite, outstanding communication, and excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Digital literacy across Google Suite including Docs/Sheets/Forms/Presentations.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be available to work weekends and overtime occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all daily tournament operations, facility, and administrative needs.
  • Serve as the on-site events team contact for all assigned events, including preparation for the day and communications to participants and staff.
  • Assist with assigned meetings and site setups, ensure quality control for meetings and food/beverage delivery.
  • Assist with amateur, pro, adult, and junior tournaments as well as charitable and special events.
  • Support event operations with live scoring and scoreboard operations as requested.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and stakeholders.

The Role
  • Assist in all daily tournament operations, facility, and administrative needs
  • Serve as the on-site events team contact for all assigned events, including preparing the event for the day, assisting with all needs in the TA center, communications to Tournament organizer and players on site, communications to the courts & grounds team & MOD, and updates through the Campus Update chat
  • Assist with assigned meetings held at the National Campus.
    • Ensure on-site quality control for internal and external meetings in classroom, multipurpose room, etc., manage meeting space set up and breakdown, ensure delivery of food & beverage orders
  • Assist with assigned amateur, pro, adult, junior tournaments as well as charitable & special events.
  • Assist with other National Campus events as assigned.
  • Assist with Communication with tournament/event participants before, during, and after each event
  • Liaise with players of varying backgrounds and levels of playing ability (Jr., Collegiate, Adult, Professional, Wheelchair)
  • Support Event Operations with live scoring and scoreboard operations as requested
  • Assist Senior Manager and events department with event proposals, contracts, site inspections, and pre-event meetings
  • Assist with community & partnership events as needed
  • Work cross-functionally as requested
  • Other Duties as assigned
Who You Are
  • Digital Literacy - Google Suite including Docs, Sheets, Forms & Presentations, Serve Tennis, Monday.com, and other programs as needed
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be available to work weekends and overtime occasionally
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • This position is designated as "on-site" and requires the employee to be at the office site to complete the required tasks associated with the position on designated setup and event days

The expected pay for this position is $16.00 per hour.
