Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Designer with 5 to 10 years of experience in P&ID development for industrial processes. You will create, update, and maintain P&IDs using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards.

This contract role is based onsite in Rincon, GA. You will collaborate with mechanical and process engineers, produce As-Built diagrams, and contribute to change management and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of mechanical design experience with P&ID development.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and P&ID practices.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• P&ID Development: Create and update P&IDs using AutoCAD to accurately represent piping, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Collaboration: Work with mechanical and process engineers to meet design specifications.
• Documentation: Generate detailed P&ID documentation, including symbols, instrument details, and layouts.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure P&IDs comply with safety regulations and project requirements.
• Component Selection: Collaborate to select piping materials, valves, and instruments.
• Change Management: Document revisions and inform stakeholders of updates.
• Quality Control: Review P&IDs for accuracy and completeness.
• As-Built Documentation: Create as-built P&IDs reflecting actual configurations after construction.
• Communication: Clearly convey design concepts to team members.
• Training and Support: Provide guidance to junior drafters.
