The program emphasizes training, relationship-building with agents and brokers, and knowledge growth in commercial property/casualty and professional liability lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to establish and build healthy working relationships with clients, vendors and peers.
• Basic knowledge of insurance products.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to P&C underwriting staff by handling administrative and routine underwriting tasks.
• Take pricing referrals, coverage questions and endorsement referrals on the Automatic book according to delegated underwriting authority and guidelines.
• Enter all new and renewal submissions, update workflow tracking system, run reports and contact agents, brokers and marketing department.
• Clarify and correct missing or incorrect application information and follow up on binding conditions and requests.
• Learn components of P&C products and understand company workflows and procedures.
• Support underwriting staff using necessary systems, forms, methods and procedures.
• Interact with loss control, claims, administration, and other groups to provide P&C products and services.
