Job summary

USI Insurance Services seeks an Outside Commercial Lines sales professional to drive new business, retain clients, and grow revenue within a defined market in the United States. The role requires a 3+ year insurance brokerage sales track record, a Property & Casualty license, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Expect a compensation range of $120,000–$250,000 annually plus commissions, with opportunities for growth and industry involvement across national and regional meetings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in an insurance brokerage with proven success.
• Must hold a Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance.
• Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Consultative, positive approach with prospects and clients.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annualized new business sales targets (e.g., $175k in identified markets).
• Develop and declare vertical market specialization with leadership guidance.
• Retain at least 92% of business year over year with account teams.
• Meet new business activity and quality appointment goals.
• Research prospects and develop customized messaging using company resources.
• Explain USI’s competitive differentiation to clients and prospects.
• Develop sales plans and use effective prospecting strategies.
• Engage in meetings and calls for first appointments, progress, and retention of business.
• Utilize CRM and sales tools to input timely, accurate information for revenue projections.
• Participate in industry training and sales programs.
• Pursue cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with account management.
