Job summary

Axiom is seeking an Insurance Counsel (Property & Casualty) to lead P&C product development and regulatory strategy in the U.S. market. The role emphasizes hands-on product launches, multi-state compliance, and claims-related advisory for insurance and reinsurance deals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive P&C insurance law experience, strong transactional skills, and a JD with admission to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of insurance law experience focused on Property & Casualty
• Hands-on P&C product development and launches
• Knowledge of multi-state P&C regulations and surveys
• Experience with claims processing and reinsurance transactions
• JD and licensed to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate P&C insurance and reinsurance agreements, product filings, policy forms, and claims documentation.
• Provide legal guidance on P&C product development, compliance, and launch strategy, including multi-state regulatory filings and product approval processes.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams on new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with state laws and business objectives.
• Advise on claims handling, processing procedures, policy interpretation, and dispute resolution.
• Support insurance and reinsurance deal processes, including due diligence, structuring, and regulatory approvals.
