Position Overview

WTW seeks an experienced P&C data scientist with predictive modeling and advanced analytics expertise to join as an Associate Director in our Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) practice. This role involves collaborating with teams of experts to design and implement innovative solutions for top insurers across North America. The position can be based in a major North American market and offers remote/virtual work options.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop integrated consulting and technology solutions for clients.
2. Leverage data science practices and innovation to build robust analytics processes.
3. Develop and implement data strategies and design data science infrastructure.
4. Build predictive models and analytical tools using diverse techniques.
5. Meet billable and revenue targets, functioning as an effective consultant.
6. Prepare proposals and presentations, and serve as a mentor and project manager.
7. Contribute to intellectual capital and market strategy development.

Qualifications

The Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of P&C insurance experience.
• At least 3 years of predictive modeling experience.
• Experience in data science or analytics within insurance or consulting.
• Strong analytical skills and data manipulation experience.
• Knowledge of machine learning, statistical theory, and technology application.
• Understanding of data sources and open-source assets valuable to insurers.
• Ability to adapt, innovate, and mentor colleagues.
• Availability to travel as needed.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Radar software.
• Leadership in actuarial or underwriting projects.
• Knowledge of North American insurance market and carriers.
• Professional designations like CSPA or ACAS.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $150,000 - $230,000 USD annually, plus short-term incentives. Benefits include health, welfare, leave, and retirement plans. WTW supports flexible work arrangements and encourages diversity and inclusion. Note that visa sponsorship is not provided for this role.
