At Alera Group, we help businesses navigate risk with confidence. Our Property & Casualty teams deliver strategic, consultative solutions that protect organizations and support long-term growth. We’re hiring an Account Executive to lead client relationships, drive retention, and deliver high-impact insurance and risk management strategies — with a focus on healthcare clients.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client‑facing, consultative environment and is comfortable engaging with executive leadership while managing complex commercial accounts.

About Alera Group

Founded in 2017, Alera Group has grown to become the 14th largest broker of U.S. business. We are passionate about our clients’ success in Employee Benefits, Property & Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. With offices nationwide, our collaborative approach allows us to deliver national strength with local service.

About the Role

The Account Executive serves as the strategic lead for a portfolio of Property & Casualty clients, with a strong focus on healthcare organizations. This role owns the client relationship, leads service delivery, and partners closely with Producers to support growth and retention.

You’ll bring a proactive, forward‑thinking approach — anticipating client needs, guiding coverage decisions, and delivering thoughtful risk management strategies. This role regularly engages with senior leadership, including C‑suite stakeholders, and requires confidence, strong communication skills, and technical expertise.

Why Alera Group
  • Meaningful Impact: Help clients and employees navigate benefits programs that drive retention, engagement, and satisfaction
  • Growth & Learning: Opportunities to deepen your expertise and gain exposure to a variety of clients and industries
  • Collaborative Culture: Work in a team‑oriented environment that values accountability, partnership, and the principles of The Collaborative Way
Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Relationship Management
  • Take primary ownership of assigned client relationships and execute all service plan requirements
  • Lead client meetings, building trust and delivering strategic guidance
  • Present to executive-level stakeholders, including C‑suite leadership
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication and document all client interactions
Placement, Renewal & Strategy
  • Manage the full lifecycle of renewals and new business submissions
  • Gather underwriting data and submit to appropriate markets
  • Review carrier quotes and develop comprehensive proposals
  • Prepare and deliver stewardship reports and ongoing account reviews
Growth & Business Development
  • Identify account rounding and cross‑sell opportunities
  • Partner with Producers on new business opportunities and prospect strategy
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to strengthen relationships
Technical Expertise & Execution
  • Maintain strong knowledge of insurance products, markets, and coverage strategies
  • Oversee policy processing, invoicing, and documentation within agency management systems
  • Support negotiation strategies with carriers to deliver optimal client outcomes
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, technology usage, and client experience
  • Provide backup support across the team as needed
