Job summary

ESC2HR in Texas is seeking a P-ALT Program Administrator to provide strategic leadership and oversee the new Preparation-Alternative Teacher Certification Pathway (P-ALT) across ESC Region 2.

The role focuses on implementing, managing, and continuously improving the program in partnership with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and CTAPP, ensuring grant compliance and successful candidate recruitment and success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in education, Education Leadership, or related field.
• Valid Texas educator certification.
• Minimum of five years of experience in education.
• Experience leading educational initiatives or programs.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience facilitating professional learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The P-ALT Program Administrator provides strategic leadership and oversight for the new Education Service Center Region 2 (ESC Region 2) Preparation-Alternative (P-ALT) Teacher Certification Pathway.
• The Administrator ensures program compliance with all grant requirements, supports candidate recruitment and success, oversees district partnerships, and leads efforts to establish a high-quality, sustainable alternative certification pathway designed to increase the educator workforce in South Texas.
• The P-ALT Program Administrator serves as the primary liaison among ESC Region 2 leadership, CTAPP, TEA, district partners, and program stakeholders
