Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I to support the owner or EPC contractor on a capital project, focusing on owner-side quality rather than field QC crews. You will write the surveillance plan, review quality documentation, and ensure records meet project specs.

You will alternate between field observations and document reviews, witness hold points, and drive audit findings to closure, with travel to active jobsites as needed and direct reporting to the project

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps.
• Clear written reporting.
• Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
