Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I on the owner or EPC contractor side, focusing on surveillance and documentation to support the project quality plan. You will review QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications, and track audit findings to closure while reporting quality status to the project quality lead.

You'll alternate field inspections with document review, ensuring records align with specifications, procedures, and client requirements.

Qualifications

3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps.
Clear written reporting.
Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance.
Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
