Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I on the owner side of capital projects, focusing on surveillance, reviewing QC plans, and reporting quality status to the project lead. The role suits someone who wants to write the quality requirements from the owner's perspective.

Your week may alternate between field oversight and document review, witnessing hold points and closing audit findings, with travel as required to project sites and the Sugar Land headquarters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specs, procedures, and inspection records and identifying gaps.
• Clear written reporting and organization in document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project plan and specs.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold points and document results; prepare weekly quality status inputs.
• Collaborate with the project quality lead and ensure evidence is properly recorded.
