Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I to support owner-side quality on capital projects. You will surveil contractor and supplier quality, review QC docs, and track audit findings, reporting to the project quality lead.

This role suits someone who wants to write the quality requirements rather than execute on-site QC crews. Your week blends field work with document reviews, including witnessing hold points, reviewing inspection records, and closing out audit

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles
• a certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps
• Clear written reporting
• organized under document-heavy work

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager
