Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Project Quality Manager II to own quality on capital projects from the owner's side—writing the project quality plan, setting surveillance for contractors, qualifying vendors, and reporting quality performance to leadership. You will ensure records and turnover are complete and defensible during commissioning.

The role requires 6+ years in construction quality, including leadership of a project quality program, and certifications such as ISO 9001

Qualifications

• 6+ years in quality on construction or industrial capital projects.
• Includes 2+ years leading a project quality program.
• Experience with owner-side quality programs in industrial, energy, infrastructure, or federal work.
• Able to write quality requirements that contractors can actually execute, and to enforce them.
• Experience with ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Write the project quality plan and the contractor and supplier quality requirements that flow from it.
• Plan and lead surveillance and audits of contractors and suppliers.
• Qualify vendors and inspection agencies.
• Review and accept contractor QC plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspector qualifications.
• Own the project nonconformance, corrective-action, and lessons-learned processes.
• Report quality metrics and risks to project leadership and the owner's quality organization.
• Turnover readiness and integrity of quality records at commissioning.

Education

ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification

ASQ CQA or CMQ-OE preferred
