Job summary

OMG Federal, part of the Otoe-Missouria Group family, seeks an experienced Construction Estimator for a large commercial project and independent cost analysis. This remote, part-time consulting role emphasizes owner-oriented budgeting, bid validation, and value engineering.

You will review drawings, quantify labor and materials, benchmark pricing (RS Means), and present clear estimates to owners and stakeholders across complex programs above $50M.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in construction estimating on large commercial projects.
• Experience supporting project owners or owner's representatives.
• Proficiency with RS Means and estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, bid packages, and documents to understand scope.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subs.
• Analyze and validate contractor/subcontractor pricing for owners.
• Provide owner-side cost advisory services and budget development.
• Benchmark pricing and support bid reviews and value engineering.
• Develop estimate summaries and cost breakdowns for executives.
