Job summary

Waste Management in the United States is seeking an experienced Plant Manager for our Landfill Gas to Energy facility. You will oversee production, safety, and environmental compliance, working to maximize energy yield while maintaining contracts and budget.

You will coordinate with landfill management, vendors, and operations teams. The role requires troubleshooting, emergency response, and 24/7 on-call readiness to minimize downtime and ensure reliable renewable energy production.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
• Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience diagnosing and repairing internal combustion engines and cooling systems.
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must be able to travel up to 15% with overnight stays.
• Must be able to diagnose and repair DC circuits 12/24 volts and be familiar with basic building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan course of action from operational data and own production capacity to reduce plant operating expenses.
• Ensure compliance with air permit and perform emissions tests; represent the site with regulators.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors for maintenance and with WMRE Operations Manager.
