Job summary

Waste Management (WM) seeks a hands-on Plant Manager for our Landfill Gas to Energy Facility to maximize production while maintaining safety and environmental compliance. You will oversee maintenance, vendor coordination, and contract compliance, acting as the on-site owner and primary point of contact for operations.

The role requires the ability to diagnose and repair combustion engines and cooling systems, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) is required.
• 5 years of experience diagnosing and repairing internal combustion engines and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and own production actions to maximize uptime and reduce operating expenses.
• Ensure compliance with air permits and WMRE safety policies.
• Coordinate with WMRE managers and vendors for plant maintenance and 24/7 readiness.
• Maintain equipment and perform repairs per SOPs and training.
• Respond to plant shutdowns during non-business hours and manage call-outs.
